About Me

Born in Yilan, Taiwan, I am currently working as a cellist with the Neue Philharmonie Westfalen. After graduating with top honors in Taiwan, I continued my cello studies in Germany, completing both my Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees under Laurentiu Sbarcea, deputy principal cellist of the Düsseldorfer Symphoniker.

​I gained my first practical experience as an intern with the Bochumer Symphoniker and also had the opportunity to perform multiple times in Bochum as a substitute in professional concerts. These orchestral experiences have been instrumental in shaping my musical expression and understanding of ensemble playing.

​With over ten years of teaching experience, I design my cello lessons individually, tailored to the needs of each student. My focus is not only on technique but also on sound development, musical expression, and healthy playing posture, allowing every student to develop their own musical profile.

​

In my studio, I offer lessons both in person in Essen and Bochum and online. Each session is designed to balance technique, musicianship, and expression, helping students to play confidently and with joy.

My goal with Arco Cello Studio is to create a space where learning music is flexible, individualized, and inspiring—regardless of location or level of experience.
